Providing temporary accommodations to seniors in a retirement community can serve a number of valuable functions:
- The family caregiver needs to travel;
- The family caregiver needs a break;
- To provide temporary accommodations during a recovery period following surgery;
- To provide temporary accommodations over the winter months;
- As a trial of a senior community, when a family and/or senior is deciding whether a community is right for them;
- The family is trying to ease the senior into life at a retirement community.
Services
The services and amenities available to our permanent residents are also available to respite residents. These services and amenities include:
- Three nutritious home-cooked meals a day
- Coffee, tea and juice is available in our Bistro throughout the day, with morning, afternoon and evening snacks
- 24-hour supervision and security
- Assistance with showering (at an additional cost).

Accommodations
We offer a private furnished studio suite. Depending on availability the room may be small or large, with a private or semi-private bathroom. Some rooms also have balconies.
Our rooms are all equipped with an Emergency Response call system which also acts as an intercom system.
We provide air conditioning in common areas.
Updated Fire Safety Systems in resident rooms and throughout common areas include:
Smoke detectors, sprinklers, 24 hour monitoring of system, voice
communications, fire alarm/horn, and automatic door closures to hallway zones.
